Individual cold case consultations are available to both homicide survivors and law enforcement. These services include case review and analysis, case digitization, and assistance with cold case services such as investigative genetic genealogy.
General Consultation
We offer general cold case consultations to both law enforcement and civilians to address general topics related to cold cases. These may include questions regarding lead development, forensic testing, interviewing strategies, etc.
Cold Case Assessment
3C Solutions can help law enforcement agencies fully assess their cold cases. These assessments may include inventory, organization, prioritization, and management of cold cases, as well as assistance establishing a cold case unit.

TRAINING SOLUTIONS

Cold Case Investigation
(2-day)
This course is designed for investigators who want to learn how to investigate a cold case. Topics covered will include key concepts of cold case investigation, starting a cold case investigation, investigative methods and forensic tools, interviewing strategies unique to cold cases, and establishing a cold case unit.
Basic Death and Homicide Investigation
(5-day)
Students in this course will learn about the different manners, methods, and causes of death; various aspects of crime scene management including scene security, documentation, evidence collection, and analysis; victimology; forensic processes; and motivations for murder.
Advanced Homicide Investigation
(3-day)
This is an advanced homicide investigation course designed to educate investigators on the intricacies of murder investigation from crime scene to conviction. Topics include equivocal death investigations, crime scene staging, modern forensic techniques, interviewing homicide suspects, and legal considerations.
Suicide Investigation
(2-day)
Suicide investigations can sometimes be more challenging than homicides. This course is designed to overcome the unique difficulties associated with suicide investigation by presenting students with proven procedures and practices to ensure the suicide case was investigated thoroughly and objectively.
Basic Interviewing
(5-day)
This course provides a general overview of interviewing in the law enforcement profession. Students will learn about the basic concepts of interviewing, canvassing, rapport, deception, persuasion, legal considerations, and interviewing victims, witnesses, and suspects.
Advanced Interviewing
(2-day)
This is an advanced interviewing course designed for experienced investigators and interviewers. The primary focus of the course is interviewing suspects, developing interview strategies, recognizing and identifying deceptive behaviors, theme development, building and utilizing rapport, and getting suspect confessions.
